@Predators de Nashville

    Preds are my second team (Panthers fan first) and I’ve been dying for them to make a move for ROR. Feel like he fits that system and needs a fresh start

    They want to retire here not win. Lmao. This would sound a lot better for the Preds if the team won the last two games. But now they are close to pretty much being out of it and it just looks like RoR and Stamkos care about not moving for their family and not so much about winning and making the playoffs.

    There is no question, you keep both of them. As a fan, I’d prefer to make the playoffs this year. Objectively, it’s probably better for us to lose out, but only losers cheer for their team to lose. Fuck you, Go Preds!

    Too damn bad. Adios O’Reilly, idgaf what you want, keep your house and retire here and you can buy some season tickets to watch the guys we used the picks on.

    Preds players doing a lil retiremaxxing

    So we were happy with losses to get draft picks. Trying to avoid the Mushy Middle. No one wanted to change coaches. Everyone wanted Trotz gone and now he is departing. The players we were wanting to sell for more draft picks want to stay here and they have NMC’s. So what now? Seems like we have our ticket punched directly into the mushy middle.

    Stamkos has a NMC so even if he was willing to waive, the return will always be underwhelming for the quality of player he is. Look at Panarin trade. Folks are always surprised by these types of trades and I don’t understand why. The player holds all the cards and can essentially choose their destination (or not!) It’s simply not worth it to trade him and his value to the locker room and culture are greater than a 4th round pick and a B or C level prospect.

    Anyways, considering what teams are paying right now it would be irresponsible to NOT trade ROR. If they are worried about player/org relationships they are in a very fortunate situation where GMBT can be “the bad guy” and the next GM will come in without any blood on his hands.

    From a business perspective, this will not help us. We are basically stuck in purgatory and this is what happened after our cup run. The core promised we’d get back. I love me some ROR and even Stammer but I’m getting older and I want to get back to the cup before I can’t physically go.

    they probably also just don’t want to disrupt their family or be away from their family for any reason.

    Specifically the report was that O’Reilly doesn’t want to be traded. Stamkos doesn’t either but IF the team is going to blow it up he will help find a good fit.

    Honestly how fucking wild would it be if Trotz, after doing his best to compete with one of the best free agent signings of all times, fumbled the job so hard that he accidentally created one of the biggest rebuilding hauls of all time?

    It’s easy and fun to yap about trades, but it really is just us coping with the reality that Trotz put this team in a ball and chain for the next 3-4 years.
