A 2nd and a 4th for Myers 50% retained (And he’s signed next year too)

Not a bad thing in my opinion. We knew Myers was going to be traded somewhere and now he goes to Dallas who probably has the least interesting asset pool of any of Risto’s suitors.

Risto to Detroit for Nate Danielson it is… 😏

I think I’d rather hold on to him and use him as trade bait this offseason or try again next TDL. These returns have been underwhelming IMO

  5. Concerned_Fanboy

Everything is off the table except for dinner tonight at Ristos house in Philly.

He aint going anywhere. Apparently no one is willing to give up a first for an aging and injury prone 3rd d man, who may not be able to pick up another teams system in time, no matter how good he looked in the Olympics or what hand he shoots with.

    Just our luck

Good, Dallas didn’t have much that would interest me. I want a ’26 first, not a ’27 if at all possible

Good news is Myers (and Murphy) were traded several days in advance of the deadline which still give the Flyers time to trade Risto. I’ll take a 2nd + 4th tbh. Don’t want to risk him getting injured again. Brière has a good track record holding out for a 1st though.

Had no Idea this Myers was this old. Holy smokes

I don’t think it ever would have happened with Dallas, as they are too concerned with being able to afford the Robo (Robertson) extension that they would like to get done this summer, and Risto’s extra year at $5.1M (or even possibly 50% of that) could have jeopardized that.

And more importantly, Myers is off the table for other teams. His price was always going to be lower with a full NMC. Rumors are he wasn’t willing to go to Detroit. With him and Murphy off the market, the remaining teams interested in a RHD are running out of time and options. Detroit, Buffalo, and Montreal have all been mentioned as teams looking to upgrade at that position. Are there any other teams looking?

The team that needs a big RHD the most (and can make a run) is Detroit. Either we deal him and set the price for other D men, or we wait until others set that price, then make the decision on a trade based on that. Not sure which is best

If the return is a 2nd and 4th and 50% retention is required, I’d prefer the team hold onto Risto until the offseason.

    Risto probably not going anywhere.

Maybe TOR will get a top 5 protected 1st this season and trade it to us for the 2027 pick Tippett and Risto

I say theres a good chance they trade it if they get it.

  14. rinmperdinck

At this point, not expecting him to be moved before the deadline.

  15. yankeeh8er

Yay hopefully the Flyers dont trade away anyone.

  16. GrittyTheGreat

Detroit was in on Myers, so hopefully they pivot to Risto.

  17. ReactionProcedure

I’m this close to being out on Danny.
