   Man, we can’t trade this kid. A shot like that at that age can only get better. Plus he’s not afraid to make big hits either.

   This core can be built on the backs of young, energetic, team controlled players. They could trade them for a shot to win in a surprise year, but the right thing to do is stay the course, get the right young pieces, and keep building a team that can win year after year

   As fun as this year is, I don’t want a one-year wonder. I want this to be the level of play (or better) we get night after night for years.

   I really do not like that I keep seeing his name floated around in trade speculation. He is 6’2, already has good size at 200lbs, and will be 20 by the start of next season. Probably the most exciting prospect in the organization given what he’s done this year. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility that he could be an impact player on our NHL roster next year.
