Last night was a poor defensive display (shit happens), but its not like the sharks are the worst team ever.

Indeed. It was hard for the habs because San Jose’s 1st line is broken and the rest sucks so it’s hard to stay focused.

We have a big week-end ahead with 2 games within 22 hours of each other, if we get 3 out of 4 points in them, this trip will still be a success.
Then we host the Leafs (lol) and head to Ottawa before going against the Sharks again on a Saturday in our barn. Let’s see who wins then.
March 14th will be a great game!

If Monty had been in the net yesterday, we’d have 3 threads from the past 8 hours about how he’s the worst thing to happen since chlamydia, how he’s only playing cause he’s a local and how the team clearly likes playing in front of Dobes better.
Instead, we have one thread about « defensive intensity » after Dobes had an absolute stinker of a game.
I don’t have a horse in this race, I don’t think Monty deserves the net, nor do I think Dobes is a #1 goalie today – they’re both pretty mediocre right now – but the double standard is fucking annoying. People should stop trashing our guys and acting all outraged when the backup goalie gets a game or when our 7th dman, who’s unable to play at NHL speed gets taken out of the lineup. These are normal occurrences in an NHL team; it’s basic ass 101 coaching. Stuff like this happens in every team.
