People need to stop pretending like Dickinson by himself got traded for a 1st.

  2. Snuckems91

I don’t blame any other team who doesn’t want our players. I don’t want them either.

  3. Therecanbenopeace

How many times has this management group had to ask the player and player agent to look for a deal because they can’t get one done? This mgmt is horrid, buck passers.

  4. theazn35

Kinda hard to be a seller when we have the baldie publicly trash our player’s values to the point teams only come back if plan ABCDE all the way to Z doesn’t work out. Focusing on ridding big contracts with NTCs that nobody really wants to take doesn’t help either.

  5. cowfromjurassicpark

I get that they’re centers but no way Garland doesn’t fetch a late 1st at this point, especially if money is coming back in any capacity

  6. jakota_doshua

I mean it’s clearly a seller’s market but are we really going to exaggerate and say dickinson went for a first. It’s also a lot easier to trade lower cap hit players to contending teams that would be buyers who are usually pretty strapped for cap space, boeser very well might not have had much of a market last year basically all reports said we wouldn’t get a first for him. I am very interested in what blueger would go for though and hope this management is shopping him

  7. Milksteak_Sandwich

Can we wait until after the trade deadline before we get the pitchforks out?

  8. Cowabunguss

This bald headed fuck better do something.

  9. JCANUCK323

    I don’t wanna get pre-mad. But I think I already am tbh

  10. AmericansAreRotund

i used to think a lot of the dumb things he said were just because English is his 2nd language. but after half a decade + of bad moves, I am beginning to think he’s just dumb.

  11. Radiant_Sherbert7272

I’ve come to accept the fact that under this ownership and front office that this team will probably never win anything.

  12. Nier_Perfect

I mean so far I’ve been happy for the return for all our trades this season. If we can get a good return on Garland i dont care if the rest of the UFA’s dont get moved.

  13. jwong728

Can we at least wait until tomorrow noon to doompost.

  14. sealsBclubbin

I mean the players were trying to trade have been underperforming quite a bit so not surprising people aren’t lining up for them.

  15. OFC_VCVG

2nds and 3rds, addition by subtraction.

  16. Admirable-Fall-4675

There’s no market for OUR players. Big difference.

  17. TruYu96

Yeah because we overrate our players 😂😂

  18. Overclocked11

What he meant was « there’s no market for our players ».

  19. Atleast this sets the price and there are less players available.

  20. cointalkz

Nobody in the league respects the Canucks as an organization. Simple.

  21. BeardedIntrovert_76

They retained 50% on Dickinson and took a bad contract back

  22. JTMilleriswortha1st

They made a trade yesterday lol. Zero excuse tho to not trade all UFAs by tomorrows deadline

  23. Maximum_Avocado6027

I mean there are very few Canucks players that teams will think are worth trading for

  24. CommanderBadass22

Is the deadline over? No. Quit shittin your britches

  25. Thin_Pangolin4480

Jesus Christ, some of you guys are way too whiny. We’ve already made trades, and there’s a lot of credible rumors about Garland getting moved too before the deadline. If Kane doesn’t get moved, that’s because he plays like ass and other teams don’t want him.

  26. Falco19

I think Debrusk and Garland should have markets because with rising cap their contracts are fine to maybe a value.

    Boeser might be tougher

  27. Hellosweetparadox

It’s a conditional 1st to dump a bad contract to Chicago for a player with a good ceiling and taking their bad contract.. so many rage bating in this sub.

  28. Only-Nature7410

Reality is we do not have much to offer because our players are not very good and underperforming.
We are 32nd place for a reason.

People should taper down the expectation on returns on our junk and spare parts.

  29. Apprehensive-Tea4881

Still remember Dickinson doing dick all when he was here.

  30. catgotcha

Anyone with half a hockey brain knows that trade wasn’t simply Dickinson for a 1st.

  31. -DarkTiger-

I think unfortunately there’s just no market for the majority of the guys we made available.

  32. LegendaryCanuck43

Lol this sub is so stupid sometimes. Its a negotiation tactic for other GMs…

  33. I’m so confused why people are already flipping out when it’s not even Friday yet and they’ve already made two trades with Sherwood and Myers.

They will probably move one of Garland/Boeser/Debrusk and worst come Garland is moved in the off-season before his contract kicks in. I also don’t buy there won’t be any market for Kane at the TDL. We have a retention spot open and he is on an expiring contract + playoff type of player. We might not get a lot for him but anything is fine.
