Worst GM …………………..
No matter the roster it is how it is utilized. There seems to be a huge disconnect between the GM and the coach. Knoblauch looks out of his depth and has lost credibility with holding ALL players accountable, not just the select few. Sadly, this is a lost season.

Oilers fans: Bouchard can't play defense (but still rocks the most points by a Dman) Bowman gets 2 big, physical shut down and top PK guys. Oilers fans complain
Oilers fans: We need more grit… all three guys are big and physical, Dach the 6th most hits in the NHL… More crying.
To sum it up, Stan got guys that could address the physicality problem, play defense, be great on the PK and fans are still complaining.
Oilers fans are just miserable people that want to complain about everything.
I love that trade, this is a good playoff push and should fix what needed to be fixed, with no long term commitment.

Oilers have the 2nd highest goals in the league. We don't have a scoring issue, We only have a goalie issue. Dump Nurse. Put an ad out publicly "oilers offer 5 million to any goalie that wants to win a cup for the remainder of this season." just make it public. This back room crap is not working. BUY A GOALIE FOR GAWD SAKES NOW. I realize its more complex than that, but we keep making moves that are not serious to actually win.
Fans are funny. Imagine thinking that if you stomp your feet enough, you can talk other teams into doing trades that aren't in their best interests, make players move to franchises they're not interested in, or even to move at all with NMC/NTC. Imagine making ridiculous claims like "that goalie is available, you're stupid for not getting them, even though the team has $450k in cap and the goalie is $9m/aav. Stuart Skinner was a victim of poor defensive play, Jarry's poor performance is much the same. I'm surprised the Oilers organization allows the "tail to wag the dog" as much as they do. Drunken, boisterous fans are just that. These negotiations are no different that the ones we have in our own lives, we try but eventually we realize that expectations need to be realistic for both sides to get a deal done.

Jarry seems like a very mentally weak individual. The way carries himself and talks doesn’t seem like a very confident dude. Playing in Edmonton as a goalie isn’t for the faint of heart

challenges w a few players: Jarry ($5.4m vs 2.6m Skinner), jCampbell, Nurse -11 (9.3m), Walman -9 (7m), Henrique -8 (3m), Frederic -14 (3.8m), Stastney -6…. & Tomasek, Philp, Regula -16 etc just not working out… & now Lazar & Janmark -8 injured… had to give away 1st pick to dump Mangiopane…. so all this to correct GM errors & bottom 6/ PK don't seem too strong & 2 D SEEM WEAK.. but slightly better roster.
–Bottom 6 might be Savoie, Frederic,Henrique & Lazar,Kapanen, +AHLplayer/Samanski w Janmark off team. At this point keeping Skinner, Kulak & Stetcher would have been just fine…
