Even if we don’t get the top 6 player we want at this deadline, I think there is no doubt Steve is going for it. If we don’t get one of them it won’t be because he « wasn’t aggressive enough ».
Maybe we can get Thomas for 2nd & Perron.
I think he needed to show something. I’m still not thrilled we bailed on the Hughesdeal.
The reason I like RT is because he’s only 26, he’s been consistent on a pretty average team, he knows what it takes to win a cup, and his contract isn’t horrible.
I flinch every time I see Robert Thomas in a headline

Give up a 1st for Thomas, if it’s not enough pass… same with a 2nd for trocheck
Can’t see Yzerman parting with the assets the Blues want for Thomas. If he’s going big game hunting, I think Trocheck is the target. Price would be more palatable, but Yzerman needs to be willing to overpay since there’ll be heavy competition.
