  1. I think this team could sneak in with the group they have now, especially with how they’ve been playing since the break. But is MG accepting that if we make it we get murdered by Colorado and what would be the point of spending picks and prospects while they’re not even close to a contending window yet. I’m not a gm so I wouldn’t know but I wonder if that’s his thought process at the moment. A change is absolutely necessary and it’s not the end of the world if it doesn’t happen this season it needs to in the summer to start contending

  2. They could have 12ish and a 17ish pick in the draft (barring luck in the lottery). Those can be traded for a top 5 or 6 pick, and top 10 players will be mostly D.

  3. well no rentals, that's for sure. This isn't the deadline to fix our pathetic defense, that's before game 1 next season.

  4. I watched San Jose Giants, build for 5 years, most of the team that became San Francisco World Series champs in 2010, having the same feelings, with Barracuda building the Sharks team, and they already know each other.

  5. I guess my thought would be how Grier plans to make any upgrades at D. The free agency pool sucks so he’d have to use assets to bring in anyone. Not to mention anyone we don’t resign we have to replace anyways. Pohlkamp and Cags are obvious internal options. Maybe Grier feels good with what he’s got.

  6. I think we are done. The guys left have too steep of a return going back or no movement clauses preventing it.

  7. If you can't get anything for Ferraro, Liljegren, or Klingberg, then so be it.

Definitely don't sell the future for a player.

  8. I’d be a bit disappointed but it wouldn’t be the end of the world. They aren’t in “win now” mode anyway.

  9. If Grier doesn't go out and get Somebody on the Top 4 Sharks D Man Situation that Can at least Hit and Move the Puck at an All Star Level ? Then WTF is he there for ? Give the Sharks GM Job to somebody that wants to improve this Team at the Level it needs . I mean I Like him on the Sharks , but at 31 Years old 5.7 Million Per Season for Kiefer Sherwood sounds a little too Rich . He was making like what 2.5 and Jumped that High In Pay ? Kiefer Sherwood is just another Kyle Clutterbuck Depth Man . He is not going to be a 20 Goal Scorer anytime soon on the Sharks .

  10. If they truly want and need a defensemen they should grab Ramus Ristolainen I'm a Philly fan I don't want to see him go but he would fit perfectly with the sharks

  11. Mike Grier has done well, we need a defensive upgrade but maybe he feels the defense men on offer aren't what hes after maybe waiting to try get an RFA or something

  12. I think it would be a bad move right now. Too many people who wont be on next years roster that can be turned into futures or even players for next year that have some term.
