   Utah wasn’t going to use those draft picks any way. Weeger settling in on the first-line with Sergachev would be a great move. Durzi on the third line with Cole or DeSimone would improve that line. Castagna could have been a second line in Tucson, but not a big chance for Mammoth colors with Tij and Caleb up and coming.

    If the blues retain 50% on Parayko, 3.25 is not bad for a 5th or 6th D. I suspect they did retain based on the return

    Parayko to Buffalo might not happen. It was first reported 6-8 hours ago, and it's still uncomfirmed. He has to waive his NMC which he hasn't done yet. Maybe he doesn't want to move from Stl.

    Stars fan here…when it comes to the blue line issue you are not wrong. Tyler Myers will be serviceable in the post-season but he isn't going to bring us to the next level by any means. The elephant in the room is that until the Stars make a decision on Robo we are going to continue in this limbo. They either have to sign him and give him the bag he is asking for or they need to unload him and rethink their strategy moving forward.

    As a sabre fan I'd be surprised parayko leaves STL. Has 4 yrs left, been there 12 yrs, has cup, community ties. I wouldn't want to leave at this point in his career. But I hope he does!

    Considering how well Conroy has done in the past few drafts, I’d much rather give him three 2nds to work with than a single 1st. That’s now 6 picks in the top 2 rounds with Kadri and Coleman still to move out. Pretty solid return considering how bad Weegar has been this year

    So i just seen that florida is listening to offers for bobrovsky, doesnt mean they'll trade him. But….florida and edmonton could do the funniest thing. Imagine bobrovsky 50% retained to edmonton and he goes on a run for a 3rd cup and 4th straight finals?

    Idk how you can’t understand the oilers trade. That team doesn’t need scoring. They bleed goals. Between Dickerson and Murphy that goes along ways. The first will be late round. And they only have mc David for 3 more playoffs. They fix the goals from going in then they are a force to be a major contender. If these 2 trades shore up the defensive side and they do manage to win a cup will anyone complain then? No it’s go time fore the oilers and stopping goals is way more important than scoring more when they already score more than other teams

    The 1st round pick is not for any of the players it’s more to sweeten the deal to take Mangiapane. And the Oilers get solid depth players and lose what most likely a mid to late 20s pick in the first round. It’s a good trade.

    Parayko is not Traded yet. He likely will be, but it hasnt happened yet and he has refusal rights on being traded.

    Myers isn’t a bad trade. For what you got him for and he is an upgrade to the third line. Very safe play but it’s a play to lock deal with Robo to a long term deal with the cap space available. It’s a win in the safest way possible.

    The Oilers trade was 100% unloading the contract. Idk how you breezes over that and didn't realize that was the biggest reason for it. 7.something mill with multiple years left was the biggest overpay in recent NHL history. Still a bad trade and as a flames fan I couldnt be happier, you clearly dont know what on about if you thought the pick for the contract dump was "splitting hairs" 🤦‍♂️

    And saying you dont think castagna has top 9 potential whille admitting you haven't watched him play this year is such a dumb thing to say….how can you rate a guys future when you haven't even watched him play. You even said "hes one of their top scorers this year"….no he is THEE TOP point scorers this year. Completely leads the team and has significantly improved from last year and Cornell has been a hot spot for flames scoutting this year when lookijg at the NCAA. If anyone knows NCAA talent its the flames.

    All I'm saying is do alittle research because your takes just come off so misinformed and uneducated.
