Getting third isn’t the worst outcome. Keaton Verhoeff has the potential to be a franchise level defenseman.
But they mock drafted us getting Stenberg at 3, so I’m 100% okay if it shakes out that way.
If course TSN would rig it for the Leafs. Thankfully the NHL would only rig it for the Rangers or Chicago.
Just count on us picking third, it’s by far the highest odds. The first three should all be studs, so it’s all good. I could also see a trade down for Malhotra if we get three if there’s a trade there – but we’ll see.
When I saw Toronto I laughed so hard. That would be our luck when we finally have a chance at 1OA.
Also I’m surprised they projected Stenberg going 3rd.

It sucked watching Chicago win over the ducks in the Bedard draft, knowing how much more the ducks deserved that pic given how much worse they were. It’s gonna really suck watching us be the 32nd team throughout the season in a draft with two studs at the very top and pick third below the Maple leafs and Chicago… I will not be surprised if Chicago wins it

I ran it 25 times today, we got 1st twice. 3rd every other time. Florida fucking got 1st more than we did!!

The Canucks drafting 3rd is pretty much a lock, based on being the Canucks.
The sooner we wrap our heads around this, the better.
But then the story shifts. Next year, the Canucks are miraculously in the playoff hunt. They dont try to add at the deadline.
The Canucks miss the playoffs but play a hard working, semi entertaining brand of hockey.
Then the Nucks pull a NYI, win the lottery and get Dupont.
