If that’s the case it would make sense not to retain with COL if you didn’t have to. No idea what Laine’s status is and if this is just a pure cap dump, but this is still better than losing a retention slot (assuming you weren’t being fairly compensated to do so).

Honestly, I’d be perfectly happy with Laine and either a 1st or Xhekaj.
It makes the money work, and gives us a valuable future asset to take on a cap dump that we’re out of by end of year.
