Biggest rumor I’ve seen is Fliggy to Columbus
Who does everyone think would get moved? What do you think the hawks should do today?
I really hope we keep Mikheyev, and figure out getting him signed. Of all the trade possibilities that one worries me the most.
i think we are largely done. only moves I can see happening are a courtesy to foligno, mikheyev for a moderate pick, or hopping in as a third team to take on salary and a pick
Seems unlikely that we’ll be able to move Mikheyev without salary retention, and honestly, I’d rather keep him at this point. I don’t expect much for Foligno if he gets moved – probably just a question of whether Columbus or Minnesota has room for him.
I know some people’s ears probably perked up at the suggestion that the Leafs might be open to trading Knies, but remember that he has an NTC and is probably not eager to move to a worse team. Unfortunately, that does limit our ability to acquire good players at this point.
Right now I’m actually expecting both Figgy and Micky to get moved today for a 2033 2nd round pick so that I can watch playoffs rooting for the Edmonton OilHawks
I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to get rid of Grzelcyk to open up another spot on the D core

Not expecting it but KFC should keep moving people, given that both Frondell & Kantserov are joining October at latest. Mikheyev would suck tho but might be necessary. Fliggy & Grzelcyk out, and dream scenario would be giving up a couple of draft picks for an elite forward like Knies

Mikheyev might get a late rounder. Foligno would be an 8th liner on a decent team. No one wanted Grzelcyk last summer when he was coming off a much better year, kinda doubt anything has changed there. I think we’re done.

Roster tonight should be interesting with all the trades… Mangiapane is stuck in immigration paperwork holdup, Dickinson Dach & Fliggy traded, and AHL players needing to stay in the AHL until after the deadline passes in the afternoon for eligibility reasons.

Please excuse my ignorance but who is even playing tonight? Dickinson Dach Foligno and Murphy all gone… what Rockford players are getting the call up?
It feels like Davidson’s done a good job this deadline. I thought we might not get more than a couple of 3rds, but he managed a 1st and a 2nd, arranged a feel-good story for Foligno, and most importantly, is not one of the GMs who’s going to be left holding the bag when the deadline hits. With so many teams selling, it was a good year to be proactive, even if proactive just meant « call Stan Bowman a lot ».
Why would we want Pouliot? What does a 32 year old AHL defenseman get for us?
