I actually agree with that statement, tho. New is not always better.

We’re literally the best team in the Eastern Conference… not much I would change myself

I think they are pretty good at this hockey thing

I think if there were a trade to be made that actually made sense, GMET would have done it.
I’d rather we make no moves than make moves just for the hell of it.

Regardless fans will never be happy and find something to complain about

i meannnnnn we did just beat the oilers, who have been tinkering and trading all damn year 😉

What trade should the Canes have made that they didn’t? I’ll wait.
Listen, I think the Canes have gaps and would had loved to see them filled but I can’t see any moves that were out there that they could have made but didn’t. Also, haven’t the Canes taken swings the last couple of years?

I’m not going to say anything about it until the end of the month. We still got to play the Pens 3 times, Jackets 3 times, Bolts one more time, Habs twice…
It’s a really tough stretch.

Waddell would say we like our group and provide little else and you knew he was full of shit. After seeing the price guys like Roy pulled in, my friend and I both said we didn’t think much was going to happen. He made the joke « We like our group ». I said Tulsky wasn’t going to do that. He would come out and say « The shit that is out there was too expensive for what it was ». Tulsky quite literally said we’re always trying to improve and get the best 20 players out there but there was little out there to get that wouldn’t impact us more than he’d like now and in the future. Shit was too expensive for what it was.

This was a weird trade deadline. There was a lot of overpaying for lower roster guys, and none of the big center names moved except kadri, and I believe he had an NMC, so he pretty much picked where he wanted to go.
It sucks that the canes didn’t get anything, but theres no point in way overpaying when their window isn’t at risk of closing.

The same people complaining about doing nothing at the deadline would be complaining about what we’d have given up to make a splash
