    The only leg up on the Jets that the Leafs have is that the Leafs actually have some regular season success at times. The Jets are just bad all the time.

    But I more or less agree.

    As a kid I had a bruins mini stick and I loved it. And then I saw Sundin. Man.. I don’t know what to do anymore

    As a New York Jets and Maple Leafs fan, it’s a very different pain. It’s extremely scary to think that the pain might be connected and similar with a few more moves like the ones we’ve seen this past year.

    I said this whenever this came out and got downvoted into hell. I’m not mad. I’m glad the rest of you arrived. Now we can go the rest of the way together.

    I’m also a Padres fan which is even more futile so maybe I’m just too ready to feel this way.

    When my kid was born a few years ago, I seriously considered getting rid of all my Leafs stuff around the house, adopt a new team, and pretend I’ve been a lifelong fan. I really didn’t want to pass on the curse.

    “Leafs? No, son. We have been Avs fans since they were in Quebec.”

    I told my sister when she had kids if she lets them grow up to be leafs fans, she’s a bad parent. kiddingly, sort of.
