Well the winning streak was fun. What was the rain date on tarring and feathering Fitz again

Unyielding rage
WE NOW RETURN TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING
Back to Reality:
* the ride was gonna end again sometime!
* not much to say about this game if I’m honest.
* we felt disjoined and didn’t really seem to get going whatsoever.
* didn’t think we looked dangerous or looked like we were on the verge of scoring that much.
* yeah we had some posts but like besides that was there anything else?
* I didn’t even think the Red Wings looked that great either.
* we just weren’t able to do anything, just same shit that we’ve been seeing December – February.
* saw that Kovy and Siegs were benched after that third goal against. just makes you really think about Fitzgerald and what the hell he’s doing. like not to beat a dead horse, but he signed Kovacevic to an extension based off a half a season of play and now we’re in a place where most of our blue line is absolute shite, we can’t move most of them because of all the NTC/NMCs, and we’re overpaying most of them. and stupid fucking Fitzgerald is going to give away the wrong fucking player (we all know Dougie should be the one going because of his contract, but I do not trust Fitzgerald at all)
* anyway, sorry about that aside, this game was boring as fuck.
* will we finally see Jake Allen play again?! is the play Markstrom every game experiment over now?
* I wrote a whole ass motion during the third period of this game that’s how fucking boring it was.
no Devils hockey for three days! let us rest!
Sucks but not shocking on the 2nd half of a back to back after playing the Rangers. I gave Marky shit or actually Keefe shit for starting Marky but wasn’t really on him when they score 0. In a different time line where they are sitting in a playoff spot or maybe only a couple points back a “scheduled loss” like this doesn’t matter but if they wanted to creep back in it was a must win. That’s how it goes I guess.

They played a team that clogged up the middle of the ice and played a structured game and it’s back to square one with trying nothing and being out of ideas. There were some good moments and stretches of play where they exerted pressure, got aggressive, and generated chances but the best went off iron. It happens.
Too many penalties and they blew a lot of good pressure and periods of momentum on bad passes or mishandled pucks. This team is in its own way so often. A lot of poor decisions and choices with the puck (Dillon/Kovacevic I’m isolating out for this today) that left them pressured in their own zone and they got punished for it.
Reality snap game where they either let it deflate the small stretch they built or prove they can bounce back, but I wouldn’t hold my breath for the latter.
Please get a Gm in here who can do more than just add in a lost season by getting an aging 4C. Enough is enough. Your final product can’t beat any competent team and FUCKING SCORE. They have to literally be playing a dogshit team to win after a 11+ year off and on rebuild. This is the product. Two aging goalies and a core of mismatched parts that the fans worship for some reason any time they dig up an excuse for them. Find a roster, find a coach for it, and win already. Or at least fucking sell to gear up for next year.
Rough night for Jack
Fire everybody
Brown isn’t a middle 6er, he’s a bottom 6 guy. It sucks we don’t have other options
Devils play a probable playoff team, they turn back into pumpkins.
LOL at the marks who actually thought they were gonna make a run.
That said, this summer is gonna be important. Stuff needs to change even if it angers some fans.
Back in the building for the first time since the break and they give me nothing. It was a game to enjoy a shitty beer and friends and that’s about it
Ah well nevertheless. Wins are fun, team is flawed, regime needs to change
Egg on my face when I realize Lindy Ruff is coaching the first place team in their division right now.
Why are the refusing to play Allen?
Devils skaters played an above average game tonight.
Money puck had the Devils ahead until the high danger chance 3d score for the Wings. And it ended with DTWOM favoring the Wings by a small margin.
The main problems tonight were failure to finish, plus the Wings getting goals on two low probability chances chucked at the net from very far.
Sometimes your skaters play more or less even, but you lose on puck luck and the other goalie having a better night.
Well the hope was nice while it lasted
I want someone to chart how many times Luke Hughes has the puck in transition or at the blue line, and how often he does not put the team in a more advantageous position when the puck leaves his stick.
If someone could get him to stop doing that dance around the net that only allows the defense to fully reset, that’d be great.
There are 3 forwards who have played 36 games and not scored a point for us yet.
You can add two more players from this year and that’s just 6 pts in 112 games.
Okay let’s add in Noesen, Palat, Cotter and all the fringe forwards.
36 points in 288 games.
“What is depth scoring”
On the bright side, we need 16 or 17 wins to get in. So there’s that.
We also need a winger. A top line winger. Mercer is not the answer. He needs to go come off season
TANK SEASON IS BACK. ON BABY

I really enjoyed the dog behind Keefe. Really the only redeeming part of that watch.
So upon review, possible FA wingers that seem like a fit, but are probably going no where are Tuch, Robo, Schmaltz, and Giroux.
