Sabres fan. Hat tip on your analysis. Have had ultimate respect for TBL & Cooper (best coach in the NHL imo). To be thought of as enough of a competitive threat to press TBL to the limit is so great for Sabres fans—win or lose.

Visiting Sabres fan, appreciated the different perspective. This game made me think a playoff series between these teams would probably be great! Would love to see it as a non first round matchup. Mostly because it’s good hockey, and a little because it would mean Sabres won a series for the first time since I was in middle school.
Crazy thing is this tho…. we are in a slump … they are in the opposite of a slump …to see our O fight back in that stance was pretty inspirational.

all this game was missing was a goalie fight. it looked like it could happen for a moment when luukonnen left the crease. dont think johanasson was interested in any fighting tho. dude didnt even turn around when there was a full blown melee happening right behind him.

I was in the building last night when the Sabres played Nashville and the building was lit. This was on whole a different level. I don’t expect the Sabres to win the Stanley Cup this year but nobody is going to want to play Buffalo in the playoffs…

Sabres fan here and honestly gained a lot of respect for you and your team. Most teams just jump on to trash talk the Sabres. It was refreshing. But that was seriously the best hockey game I can honestly think of ever watching. Still haven’t come down from the high

We just, over the last two games against you guys, have developed a heated rivalry that will go into the postseason! as a sabres fan i said the same exact thing! TBL played buffalo the last 2 games like they are playing the florida panthers! i think the lightning understand this is not a sabres team to be taken lightly! i have watched the lightning play a ton since buffalo has been absent so long. i for one expect these teams to meet in the playoff the atlantic has been insane even more so than usual i think the rep of the eastern conf will come out the atlantic. i believe its going to be tampa or buffalo after what i witnessed tonight
