The crowd was trying their best even when it was 7-5. It’s probably the best regular season game I’ve ever witnessed. I wish I was there but I’m so proud of the fans and the team for responding when they had to.
I wonder if a nice playoff run in front of these crowds could convince Tuch to take a little bit of a hometown discount. The dude’s been playing way above his contract for years, so I won’t be mad if he chases the bag, but I’d love to see him stay at a number the Sabres can work into their cap structure.
Someone compared it to the Ottawa game from almost 20 years ago now, and yeah I’d say that was as close of a comparison as it could’ve been.
Happy for you Sabres fans. We had a good run at MSG between 2021 and 2024 with plenty of insane nights at MSG with epic crowds. Enjoy it while it lasts!
The players were talking about the crowd against vegas and how good it was. On TV it sounded solid that day, but I was a little bummed about not too many chants or anything, just a decent buzz going and good cheering and whatnot.
Last night though, man the crowd sounded amazing on TV. Granted this game was off the rails, but there were chants throughout the game, they were getting super loud, it sounded incredible. I can’t imagine what it was like to be there.
