Buffalo just screams a first round flame out to me

  2. Guitar-One

Well, they’re right. It was a big hit. We all know that the league doesn’t like calling penalties for Tampa.

Refs were terrible both ways all night. I’m just hoping we didn’t take any long term injuries out of the game.

I’ll genuinely root for ‘em against non-TBL teams but in time-honored tradition for all hockey teams their fans have begun the shit talkin before game 1. Careful with your words, might just have to eat them.

  5. emwashe

And their fans acted like they were the only ones that had missed calls lol

I love this rivalry. Both Teams are being absolute villains and I’m here for it.

the problem here is that Tampa fans don’t know the rules. You can punch people in the head with their back turned but god forbid Norris throws a reverse hit. He had the puck, gained entrance and then dropped the puck back and finished his check. He’s entitled to make that hit there because he just had the puck. It’s no different than kuch finishing hits 2 seconds after the period had ended. If you think this game was biased for one team or another, you’re in fact the one with the bias. Tampa tried to fight the whole game and then wonders why Buffalo had 7 power plays, it’s pure ignorance because it’s common sense literally right in front of your face.

No way we gave up 8 and are bitching about refs

Honestly, I can see why that wasn’t called. It almost comes off as a reverse hit due to the BUF player drop passing right before laying the hit. Probably easy to miss at that speed. Sucks though. On another note, I know Hagel is getting a lot of shit today but I’m all for him giving it to Dahlin who’s starting to get a rep as a player who cheap shots with low cross checks and then turtles when it’s time to answer the bell. With all that said, I feel like within a week or slightly more, this team will be back on track in time for the playoffs. I’d rather the slump/adversity come now rather than later.

Big fan of the Bolts and I get that when the Sabres knocked out James for the season and Gonsalves for multiple games the Bolts wanted revenge. But the bush league brawling got really tiresome and the stinging loss we took to Sabres a week earlier should have made it clear that the odds of us winning do NOT get better when we are in penalty kill mode. Yeah we battled hard and killed off a 5 on 3, but I think we need a more disciplined game going forward. Also mystified why Vassy was in net for Leafs and Johansson for Sabres when Sabers are clearly a better team than Leafs. On the plus side it looks like Bolts are getting back to form they were in before Olympics break.

Thank God you’re not a referee

Ehhhhh Girg looks like he steps up to hit Norris there and instead, gets reversed hit and rocked. I’m fine with the no call there.

  13. justlnnn

Girgensons initiates contact learn the rules lmao

  14. That’s not interference… Tampas guy was literally lining him up right before he got rid of it

  15. Persephone_86

Clearly a nasty reverse hit. Not even trying to troll here, I think it’s pretty obvious to anyone who casually watches hockey.

  16. sharpsicle

That would be a super weak interference call. I’m not happy it happened, and the fan in me of course wants a call, but there really isn’t one to be had there.

  17. Low_Base1553

Agreed thought thay was interference.  But in the end the Bolts took the game back only to give it away

  18. SheepOnDaStreet

Nah man this is clean, he was going in to play body on him. And he dropped it back in anticipation
