  1. Conroy is real refreshing coming from treliving and whats going on in toronto. The challenge now is to develop players so they can play in the nhl.

  2. I have been a die hard fan of The Flames since the day they arrived in Calgary and played in the old Corral.
The most entertaining eras since that day were the rebuilding eras.
Knowing that the team was subpar but watching them build up and making strides was really good.
It culminated in a cup after many years.
To me i enjoyed the building process more than anything.
    Very entertaining times.
Always something happening. Baby steps usually but fun to get the mind involved.

  3. The Flames have an abundance of NHL caliber forwards that are middle of the road with more to come and draft picks coming out the yingyang.
If there was a team out there that needed a complete 4th line or even a complete tolerable 3rd line Connie could just reach into the bag and put something together for you if the price is right.
Thats both a blessing and a curse for him.
Too many middling players but lots of trade material with draft picks to sweeten the pot.
Its a good problem to have.

  4. Picks are well and good…however, it all comes down to picking players that turn into stars. My confidence level for that is fairly low. More importantly, it’s the later rounds where you get a gem that really turn a team into a contender. Poor picks and we have nothing to trade, finish near the bottom, get a great pick that turns out to be poor, and so on and so on. Buffalo is pretty good now but it’s been, what, a decade? The Oilers picked first overall for how many years that didn’t turn out. And they were valid picks that scouts loved (I know how we love to laugh at the oilers) that failed miserably…other than that one guy.

  5. Risk of hate mail….how generous of the owners to eat some salary when we are paying for a new arena…just saying!1

  6. Until we draft a Greg Jolly or Nail Yakapov first overall. Both highly regarded at the time……

  7. I hope Calgary fans get Mckenna
The team needs a star/face of franchise.

The Ryan Strome trade for a 7th I think could pane out again next deadline. He will be on his last year making 5m eat 50% and get another 2nd or 1st. In his 1st game with flames he has 1g1a. Same with Coleman.

  8. We better be, I haven’t been excited about this team in a long time.
Just need to get a top 2 pick

  9. Has anybody noticed how good the deals have been since Gary Batman came and toured the new Calgary Flames facility that a billion dollars is coming out of all Calgary taxpayers? Anybody notice that?

  10. Real depressing seeing an ex nhl tough guy reping calgary nonetheless drinking a G'damn starbucks smh if youre gonna commit such blasphemy you pure it into a Timmy's cup before camera goes on. Hell a mcdicks cup would even be far more respectable 😮‍💨🤦‍♂️

  11. Wolfy is prob gonna see a lotta rubber next 3-4 seasons. It's gonna be hard on that little guy goaler. Not being nasty, just a – imo – realistic look forward. Wrkn in young Dmen, rookies and whatnot, very likely be a major challenge. The long-term patience is also a big challenge for Mgmt w pressure from fans etc. Muh' team down der in Utah started 'The Build' in Sept '20 and it is just starting to payoff. BroadwayTheHardway is the BestWay, imo.
