Mike Matheson is a transformed player. He plays much more conservative hockey and I mean that as a compliment. Can’t help but wonder if watching David Savard impacted him as well as realizing that the Lane train can handle the D to O transition game better than he can.
Cowan should’ve took notes of what Matheson did. Dive for that puck, get it out of your zone and it *might* be a different outcome.
