    Last year when Copp went down, our season went to shit. Hopefully it’s nothing serious. He’s an underrated player

    Freaking KNEW this was going to be an issue when we didn’t address our lack of C depth at deadline. Not saying I’d have done any better, but damn it sure sucks timing wise. Watch this be the year our first round pick actually jumps to a top 5 pick after choking away our playoff chances. I pray we at least make it in so that first rounder doesn’t hurt so much.

    9 years into a rebuild and still not acquiring a top 6 center during that entire timeframe is not a recipe for success.

    I feel irrationally angry about this. We keep taking punches to the face. My guess is he’s done for the year. Leg went sideways and wasn’t put any weight on it.

    This is why you do nothing if you can’t find a good trade. You don’t trade just to trade. This trade was straight out of Hollands handbook. He over reacted to the possibility of playoffs and it’s going to cost us our future. We were never going to make the playoffs/ will be bounced 1st round. You make the Faulk move when we are ready to make a playoff run. Now we are missing the playoffs/ getting bounced 1st round and have no 1st rounder/ capital to make a move that will actually help. I’m not going to say this will undo everything Yzerman has put togeher the last 7 years but it’s going to hurt, a lot
