    Should have been a penalty shot. He didn’t touch the puck first just went straight for the legs wasn’t even incidental. But I’ll take it lol

    I’ve yet to see a game where they did a penalty shot

    They’re saying its a trip but he dove. I honestly don’t think he did. I think everyone on the ice including the defender and Chucky knew this was a penalty (It was probably a professional foul to be honest, if you let Chucky just have a clean breakaway thats probably at least 50/50 he just ends it).

    But given that, he’s not gonna go down soft, there’s no reason to, its still a good chance you might as well try to score on the delayed. 

    I’ll buy he embellished it a little when he realized he was going down but there was no reason to dive beforehand, it would have been incredibly dumb because this gets called 11/10 times regardless

    Honestly, Tkachuk might have sold it a bit, but that’s 100% a trip either way, regardless of embellishment call. I’ll just take it for all the times he’s legitimately eaten shit and been called for embellishment anyway.
