@Maple Leafs de Toronto

Yeah sure, tell him it’s his last year and let him completely burn the house down before he leaves.

    Just get rid of him.

  2. WeinerVonBraun

Cooked, as the kids say. Taking the coach with him.

  3. ilyalyubushkin46

So long, Brad. Thanks for the memories… I guess.

  4. PPGN_DM_Exia

Extending him after he ran them into the ground would certainly be a choice.

If the Carlo trade wasn’t already the nail in the coffin then the Laughton buy/sell seals it. The worst trade and return within a calendar year in the salary cap era.

  6. No-Gift-2350

If he isn’t fired, ownership is incompetent.

You can’t do this shit of a job and still have your job.

  7. Svalbard38

The other. Please the other. Unless the other is extension in which case one way.

  8. padma_Iakshmi

Thank fuck, as a flames fan now also Leafs fan who moved to Toronto the same time Brad did, I’m so fucking sick of this man ruining my life 😭

  9. Significant_News_638

You can’t let him go into next year on an expiring deal, so it’s extend or fire.

If it’s extend, I’m going to take a bath with my toaster.

  10. footwith4toes

I don’t like the sound of that “one way or another”

  11. Evenspace-

Holy fuck he should already be done.

  12. goleafsgo88

Can we have it one way and not the other please?

  13. GritGrinder

    We need more
Psychopaths on this team. Hire whoever will finally go and do that

  14. NaughtyOne88

Brad Brad Brad the imploder, Brad Brad he should have been a boater?

He ruined our team and now yours….

  15. MitchIsMe9913

hard to believe how much he has run this team into the ground in just 2 years

  16. lifeisarichcarpet

What does this even mean? “Go into next year without some clarity” is a meaningless sentence.

  17. LongjumpingDiver8773

Brad Treliving extension might actually put me over the edge

  18. thrilliam_19

I’ve been saying all along that he’s riding out his contract and will be here next season. We have heard time and time again that MLSE is pissed that they had to keep paying Babcock and Keefe after they were fired, and it’s looking like they will have to do the same with Berube.

They’re a corporation, plain and simple. They see dollar signs and nothing else. They will keep Treliving for his final year if it means not paying two GMs at the same time.

  19. johnnyjj14

He hasn’t done enough to warrant an extension and the last thing you want is a lame duck GM steering the bus. Peace Tree.

  20. Grand-Amoeba1832

Omggg fire him already. That would be clarity.

  21. Outrageous-Mess3299

He’s demonstrated an aptitude for tearing teams down…the rebuilding part, though…yikes

  22. MrTEEM4N

We need people chanting at games, we cannot let him be the one that trades any more pieces.

  23. joshine89

Signing an extension is the leafiest thing to happen

  24. PJRolls

Loooool @ without some clarity. Imagine extending him… clearly he’s gotta be done. I just don’t know why we’ve had so many conflicting reports about his status going forward.

  25. DataDude00

Imagine being Brad Treliving, the architect of this fucking train wreck, and asking for some clarity about contract / want an extension LOL

The fucking balls on this guy

  26. Frostyreturns

it depends on how cheap mlse wants to be. they could do what they did with keefe, they go into the year thinking this is your last chance but extend him and don’t tell him its his last chance. if he succeeds you look like geniuses for extending him and not panicking. and if he fails again you can just fire him.

  27. Disastrous_Hall8406

Elliot often says a lot that amounts to the obvious, but says it in a way that makes it sound official

  28. nikebalaclava

so long as the finality is he knows he’s gone, yes

  29. Takhar7

Funny how things seem to change by the minute with these insiders.

The noise after the deadline was that they felt they couldn’t find anyone better, so they were heavily considering bringing him back.

    Now that tone has shifted.

In 72 hours these guys will be telling us an extension is possible.
