The Oilers are about as good as the Leafs this year. If they were in the East they’d be equally out of the playoff picture.

I don't normally advocate "regime change" but if we got rid of Knob-head and Bowfinger, we can start instituting some bench time for Nurse and Wallman, heck even scratch them. Bring up Ungar and some "just average" D-men from Bakersfield. Instant Stanley Cup finals.

As a Penguins fan, I've never been happier with our GM. Dubas is a genius. Made major trades for the future of the team, but was still able to make a team for #87, #71, #58, and #65. He has to be one of the best GMs in Pittsburgh history. Not to mention getting rid of Jarry, dude has been terrible since he was first brought up for the Pens and ur able to get an actual NHL goaltender plus Girard(Kulak)

I get why everyone piles on the Oilers goaltending — but c'mon — let's be a bit realistic here: The Oilers are absurdly terrible in their own zone. To put the blame squarely on the goalie when opposition is continually finding themselves with acres of space to receive the puck, set themselves and shoot … when the number of odd man rushes is so high … when the Oilers fail to win puck battles or recover the puck … when the team fails again and again and again to get the puck out of their zone … Seriously boys, you are grabbing at the easy and most lazy argument. The goalies have been bad but they have been made worse by this team defence that is pathetic. Nurse — terrible. Bouchard — a wet paper towel would put up more resistance. Wahlman — two left feet in his own zone. I mean, Nurse has 5 own goals.
I imagine Edmonton makes a run at Carlson in the offseason, along with 2 more defenseman.
Pens fan here. In Dubas we trust. No one over here understood the trade from Stan Bowman's perspective, but you don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Bouchard has been playing well for months, not a single word from this podcast. The bias is unreal. They only mention him when he messes up.
So it's f7nny how we all sud this from the beginning and it's another Jack Campbell and they just can't seem ti fix this goaltenders situation

It would be helpful if the media didn't inflate the Oilers ego by calling them a contender whenever McDrai manages to win a game on the powerplay.
Traded a pending FA inconsistent goalie for an older, more inconsistent goalie on term with near identical career stats. Plus gave them a 2nd round pick and an NHL defenseman in Kulak.
It was dumb the day the trade was made, and it's even worse now.

That trade was a fireable offence.
They should pray for 5 first overall picks… then destroy 3 of those careers immediately and bank on the other 2 to carry them… again
Biggest issue has always been the Defense for the Oilers, who's surprised that a Penguin who we all said (he in Pittsburgh) was inconsistent with a decent defense is FAILING with 0 defense in front of him
Not saying it isn’t the goalies, but when every goalie you have sucks maybe it’s time to look at the defencemen
