2021 Jason Spezza (who has no prior record) gets 6 games for kneeing someone.
2026 Ratko Gudass (5 prior suspensions) gets 5 games for kneeing someone, and putting them out for the rest of the season.
Either there's anti-Leaf bias here or more likely, Parros is getting the CTE early and isn't for the job.

We all know if that was any other Leaf player who got hit Matthews wouldn't do crap about it. This is who the team is and was under Tavares. As far as the injury goes he may come back 100% for the start of next season but that 100% with another injury on top of the other injuries he has had. Age and injuries have added up. Trade him and get some picks. Maybe you can retool but to me I would rebuild. Cap is going up..between picks you could get with Matthews and Nylander, maybe even few others you may be able to rebuild along side free agency. They tried. Had good changes and didn't get it done. Such is life.
