Awesome game. If the on ice officials continue to be calling the game fairly, like with the MacKinnon penalty, then good. No team can beat a combination of the opponent and on-ice officials, like in 2024 and 2025 when it was Edmonton against a combination of Florida and the refs.

It’s not really rocket science, they realize mcdavid can get to the net but when he gets there has no support so they used the old Federov and yzerman or Lemieux and jagr tactic so they can play off each other then hyman pretty much just sits in the net and hacks away at any lose puck, same thing over and over “Drai’ and mcdavid get to the net as fast as you can, Hyman you pretty much stand in the net and hacks away away” over and over and over again

One touch passing. So much faster. With such short distances also don't need much stability. Draisaitl steadied the puck with that kick so it's steady enough for McDavid to have some accuracy rather than a wild wobbler. Complete wobble from McDavid but once it leaves Draistaitl it's stable. Not flat it's still spinning but it has enough rotation to steady the position.

funny story; every time i see Bouchard handling or shooting, whatever, i think of his game stick, which i bought at the Oilers team store when i went to watch a couple games in November. i've been using it as my main stick in beer league and have scored some wicked goals with it. as a pro stick, and a big jump up from my old ones.
