How injury prone Toronto’s goaltenders are, it wouldn’t surprise me if they carry 3 next year.
Yes Hildeby is a great call up but if Woll or Stolarz goes down, do you trust him against the heavy weights of the league? Do you trust Akhtyamov in a back-up role?
You mentioned Ottawa. You saw how poorly their young goaltender did when thrusted into the starting position. It can be avoided in Toronto if they don’t gamble.
Just a reminder for anyone who's not sure, one of the worst things EA ever did (in regards to hockey) was make people think that a 1/2 way contract has anything to do with waivers. It doesn't, it's only about money and whether he'll make the same amount at the AHL level as the NHL level (1 way) or a lesser amount when he's in the minors (2 way).
If everyone keeps talking about how either Woll or Stolarz are always getting hurt, then why dont we just go with three goalies? Sooner or later one gets hurt then we have two. WTF am I missing! Myers/ Joshua is getting claimed? Good fkn riddance!

I'm actually scared about this summer with how many RFAs there are and with Brad in charge. We all know Brad completely effed up the RFA players on the team last year.
Bring him up ! Let him play a couple games especially near the end of the season .

Trade Stolarz, Woll starter and Hildeby backup. But imo Hildeby is the future of the Leafs net. i think he's going to be better than Woll.
The NHL needs to make a change to waivers, if you claim someone you can’t send them to your minor team for like a month.
If the Leafs accept what is increasingly looking like an undeniable fact that they're going to still be bad next season, then they should trade Stolarz. His term will get him an okay return, but his injury history and age will prevent it from being anything too crazy.
If the Leafs are delusional and try to go for it next year then they should trade Woll, who stayed healthy this year (his injury was from contact iirc and was incredibly short so I don't think other teams will care) and was upper half of goalies in the league, is younger, and still has a bit of term. He will get a better return which will maybe make the situation better.
By the way I phrased all of this it should be obvious what I think they should do.
Stolarz is the guy you move here. Woll and Hildeby is the tandem next year and Aktyamov is the Third Stringer.

Cant wait for this off-season when Leafs fans are thanking the team for making moves. They were supposed to the whole time, you thanking them for finally doing something is how you keep getting here. They only hear that good job when they are in the shit. When they were winning and the fans said hey something isnt quite right, they told you to go blow smoke somewhere else.

I thought Stollie should have been dangled (no pun) at the trade deadline (Edmonton). But too late now. I think Stollie is odd man out this summer caveat others stay healthy.

Steve, I'm noticing other teams signing US college players over the last few days. It seems Dubas used to score some free talent this way. Treliving has been kind of lacking on this front, too busy twiddling his thumbs. With all the Leafs braintrust and staff you'd think they'd be able to … what's that corporate term? multi-task 👍
this Leafs' culture is sickening! only McCabe, Tanev and OEL has any heart at all on this team. Laughton has heart as well but they traded him away and kept guys like Tavares, Reilly, Brandon Carlos, Domi and etc. all a bunch of joke! cowards.
