I remember thinking he was the next Linden and future captain. That game 8 bar down clapper was all the evidence I needed. Unfortunately never panned out.

I overhyped this bum when he was drafted and thought he would be the next great one.

What could have been, if he didn’t have a degenerative back issue and Bourdon didn’t tragically pass away 😞 could have made that 2011 team into a perennial contender rather than a 2 year peak

he was traded for Kassian

I thought the Isles overthought it going Bailey over Hodgson. Genuinely jumped for joy when they announced they were taking Bailey. I thought Hodgson in 2008 and then Schroeder in 2009 were just massive home runs. Shows what I know.

I remember Cody, he grew into a good player in the NHL video games for Vancouver 😁

He played so well at the World Juniors…Canuck fan here

Saw some flashes of a really good player in Hodgson, but he never put it all together on a consistent basis. I seem to recall Hodgson trying to resurrect his career in recent years, hoping some team would pick him up on a PTO.

Oh yeah this helped to remind me of my now useless and worthless Hodgson jersey

Hodgson was going to be my first Canucks jersey because of that game 8 in Boston. Then he got traded.

Brampton legend! Sucks he never worked out for you guys I will always have a soft spot for Hodgson.
cad_internet
They probably could’ve gotten a lot more than just Kassian
Hodgson had a lot of value in the league, even though internally they were souring on him

Bob McKenzie said the Canucks got the steal of the draft

He’s still there, loading bags onto conveyor belts

Nick Riviera and the Canucks medical team ruined his career, along with Hodgson’s parents.

I thought about this literal issue like 3 days ago. I am one bored SOB right now 😂.

If it wasn’t for that back issue and the Canucks medical staff misdiagnosing it, I think he would have been a good player and the guy everyone thought we were getting.
