He may not standout on a regular basis but almost never a single mistake from the man. He looks so much better without Quinn, same with last year when they were split. Less focus on playing around Quinn and defending his mistakes and more focus on HIS play. Phil NEEDS to run his own line
Petey was hot during November and December but since January he’s been bad offensively.
Honestly, the most glaring thing to me in these stat lines is the fact that Petey is 6’2 and only weighs 176 lbs.

Before seeing this I would have said Karlsson is about 6’3″ 210lbs.. but he’s basically the same build as EP40. Crazy how differently they use their body.

Kane making $5mm isn’t crazy if you watched him during the oilers , it’s actually pathetic that a 35 yr old power forward near the end of his career is keeping up with the others .

Really hope they have a great development team. Otherwise this rebuild will be for nothing. I liked Bieksa’s take that they need bruisers to protect their young talent. Maybe not so much a winning team, but a « don’t fuck with us » team.
Kane has been stapled to the top line most of the season where I believe Karlsson has been everywhere. Thats telling.

Couldn’t find 15 goals but it brings up recent picks, Matthew Perkins, who likely won’t earn a contract, Riley Patterson, who we don’t know if he’ll even play (despite junior numbers); Josh Bloom, who played in memorial Cup and can’t even make AHL, and Brendan Gaunce, who was a captain in junior.
Yet you’re worried about a 4th for Kane, who has played almost 1000 games and scored over 300 goals with 16 seasons of double digits

What’s amazing is that 34 year old Evander Kane after missing an entire season after having his wrist cut open, two hernias, torn abdominal muscles, and major knee surgery, has made a full recovery after contemplating retirement.
Maybe Petey should try hitting the gym with Kane sometime. Might learn a thing or two about taking care of his body from a guy who’s not only an elite veteran power forward, but also a model and fashion icon.
