I fully agree with Blake. Matt is using a very old playbook. There was a really good article by Drance that basically states the best chance for the Canucks winning the Stanley Cup is to have at least one semi-generational player and another all-star. The only way you get these players is through the draft. The best chance to get these players is at the top of the draft. The best chance is for the next couple be last or close to last.
