The phrasing on the Matthews trade is irksome. I wouldn’t deal Michkov or Martone for him but there are other players that I do it for.

Similarly don’t like the phrasing for the Michkov q. This phrasing is ambiguous and could cover many possible concerns.

Am I concerned about his development? Yes, in the specific sense that next season Tocchet keeps deploying him in 3rd line minutes on his off-wing, benches him in the last 5 min of each game, never deploys him in OT like most of this season, and continues trying to coach out any and all offensive creativity in the player.

I’m not concerned about how Michkov handles this coming off-season. I think he’s learned a hard but valuable lesson about what it takes to add to his game at the NHL level.

  3. This is a good exercise in be careful what you wish for. Would I like Comcast to sell? Yes. Is the pool of people who can afford to buy a NHL franchise even worse? Probably lol.

Lots of these questions need so much more context. For example, I’m confident in Danny Briere and I think this team will be a playoff team next year (Martone and Foerster in lineup plus full North American offseason for Michkov will definitely help). However, I feel as though Briere is heavily hamstringed by Jones/Hilftery/Comcast to build a contender the right way to build a bubble playoff, first-round exit team.

Also, yet another post about Michkov’s development in year 2 after putting up 60 points in his rookie year on an ASS team, in a league where sophomore slumps are pretty commonplace lol. Offseason can’t come soon enough around here

What exactly is your goal here?

« Hey Comcast a bunch of folks on Reddit said you should fire taco and then sell the team via this Google form. »

Or is this just an exercise for your own curiosity?

I feel like some of these need additional options.

    For example:

    * the Jiricek/Brink trade one, it needs an indifferent/don’t care option.
    * the prospects after Martone needs a ‘None of the above’ option.
    * the trade package for Matthews question needs a « this is a stupid move, don’t consider at all » option.

What if I don’t think we should sign Auston Matthews at all?

This reads as if you are asking questions to get a response you can use for content.

Not necessarily leading questions, but questions without context and specifically-worded answer choices on purpose.

This fan base is the best. We are very passionate fans of this team and enjoy doing these exercises. But this one misses the mark

lol right? This feels data harvesty

I think the question on Michkov needs more context. I’m very concerned, but more so because of how Tocchet is « trying » to « develop » Michkov than because of anything inherent to Michkov himself.
