Vs Sharks should of been 3 3 ref called play to fast, need t owait one second. Both games were winnable but the D sucks. They don't allow much shots but when they do… No one in front of the net on 3rd goal, Ghulie and Lane on boards, this man to man is brutal, just keep on D in front of the net…They do. They might be out of the playoffs by next weekend, big games now Detroit, Boston and Ils, all theams 1 to 2 points back. I feel columbus are gona make the playoffs and Sens might make it in, their the only teams that can knock out one of the teams in the playoffs right now.
Hey fans stop lynching the coach and team which has been just great in tough competition. Last season ended with 0.55 and 91points after 82games now with less 16games is 9 points behind!! There are some flaws surely defensively but whole team doesnt deserve such critic! Dont overreact as always!

5 offensive defenseman. 4 left-handed shot defenseman most games. Sometimes 5 if Struble and Xhekaj both play. Guhle is horrid right now. Matheson the king of giveaways. Rheinbacher would be a huge upgrade over some of these guys.

Our boys need to improve D zone coverage. If your teammate is going into the corner to retrieve a puck against 1 opposing player you need to trust him to do his job and not send a second player in while leaving the front of the net and other players open. Keep the faith and Go Habs Go!
It is not just the defence, it is the team’s defensive play. This falls on the coaches. I realize this is not a popular opinion but look at the 4th Anaheim goal. No one, and I mean no one was anywhere near Gauthier! Just awful. Sure you can blame the 6th or 7th dman but they did not play 1 single shift in the 3rd. Who’s decision was that??
Kaiden guhle is a terrible player
I think they brought up Fowler to prove that the goaltending isn’t all the issue. All the defensive lapses have been pushed to the side because how sub par our goaltending has been. Now you have Fowler playing well and you can’t blame him… it’s clear it’s the d zone. I’ve been saying this all year I’m glad people are finally realizing their d zone is so bad
Defence wins you championships. We play a very soft game in our end. It is a free flow out there.
PP is too creative and not enough shots on net! We are looking for the perfect play. How about getting Laine out there with his one timers? It may help because we are too predictable now. We need to grind it out in our end for success.
Our powerplay reminds me of the days when we hoped it was possible to decline a penalty instead of going on the powerplay.
Bring up Reinbacher now. He can't be worse than Carrier.
Can't have a defenceman who is trusted to play only 30 seconds in the 3rd period.

Get rid of the French coach. French guys make lousy managers and coaches. French players aren't even in the top 50. The problem is they're self-absorbed, conceited, and incompetent from the get-go. Playing that style requires a Vasilevsky or Bobrovsky type of goalie.
I think we could give Reinbacher a look soon, and I really liked Engstrom for the most part earlier this year. It's worth a shot to shore up the defence.
And I wish they'd give Arber more minutes. He's been respectable when he's on the ice, and we need the muscle.

They're not in the playoffs yet… Defensive play remains awful. They can't seem to clear the front of the net, and they don't protect their goaltender. Whoever is in the crest won't do miracles if he doesn't get more help from his teammates. And besides, with so much talent on attack, how come the PP can't produce more?
Habs are not a great hockey team it's that easy
Play style has tightened up as per usual after trade deadline . Its playoff push season . Msl has no idea how to coach playoff style hockey , we are in trouble
To me, it's a coaching issue. The talent is there but there seems to be no structure.
PP AND PK are looking terrible. Arber has no confidence in himself. My point of view. The coaching took that way. I saw a lot of panic in there game. Don't know how to blame Arber all the time. 7-11 mins per game. Hate to say it trade him because the coaching is hurting him BAD. Look at Logan M. He is up to 17 to 20 mins per game since his game become a more simple approach. Thanks kevin

Carrier and Ghulie did not play well. Our defence needs to play more physical everywhere, not just in the boards. They aren't boxing out the opposition. And finish their checks already.🙄
Montreal has a certain player who hasn’t in my opinion been given a fair chance to prove his worth. As a HUGE fan for the past 60 years i pay attention to pretty much every game they play. Amber Xhekaj is 6’4” 240 lbs and has the backs of all of his teammates. He maybe not the best skater but I would have the defence coaching pay much more attention to Arber and spend some additional time with him and letting him know what his job is. He hits hard and as I said he’s not Afraid to step up and. Do what’s necessary . Let me put it this way . If he had been on the ice last night when the Ducks scored their go ahead winning goal it wouldn’t have been that easy to get that clear path to Fowler . You try to get around 240 at 6’4” see how it works out. You have to give the man his FAIR chance and let him know what’s expected of him. Players like Xhekaj don’t come along every day. He needs to be kept in Montreal and spend some additional one on one coaching time with him. It will be a shame to see him go. As far as Hudson is concerned he needs to be kept in line. Great hockey player but takes way too many chances that cost the team .
Xhekaj is the stay at home guy they need . Tough as nails and can clear away the front no problem if given the opportunity. and already have. He won’t dis sapping if given the chance to do his job.
Looks like dauch broke his arm so place him on long term if that's the case call up reinbaucher and haige may not fix the problem but maybe it will
Benching arber constantly, as well as our heart GALLY is just unacceptable. We dont need more speed. We need GRIT and TOUGHNESS. MSL should be ashamed of himself.
So if you’re not calling for MSL’s head, maybe it’s Robidas who should be in the EI line.
Also, maybe Nick needs to lose his stain about people not buying in for D systems. Or embrace it himself. Not much “Nick for the Selke” talk recently. It’s a team game. Maybe captain needs to call a player only meeting.
I liked Newhook's presence. Carrier was his usual self. That man to man d thing seems to be a mess. Who dreamt that up?
