If they can play well enough defensively to get through the next week, I like where we are if Larkin and Copp can return.
If they can’t – we’re punting the season again. I think it’s really just that simple at this point.
The Atlantic is the NHL’s hell, and were just living in it
Now would be a tremendous time for special teams, particularly the PP, to wake up from hibernation.
Next three games are absolute must wins. Sadly, we’re going golfing if we don’t take them
The clearest path remains winning the games in front of them. They clearly won’t be getting any help.
It’s not that the rest of this week is playoff hockey for Detroit, but… basically, it’s playoff hockey. Win this “series” and you have a decent chance to advance. Lose it, and you’re all but cooked.
Intensity factor needs to be through the roof.
Scoreboard watching has been so exhausting this season. Last night was a microcosm of that.
Wow, the results pretty much didn’t go our way at all yesterday
So many outcomes could’ve come yesterday, and yet somehow the worst one still happened
Of course during one of my most important weeks of college I get sick ugh
Idk what’s crazier – the fact that almost every night the worst case scenario happens or that despite it all, the Wings still hold a playoff spot.
Cap goes up, teams have more money to spend, teams get better. Its just all ramping up
At the very least, the Wings have to pull out wins against the Bruins and Senators. A win against the Habs is a nice to have but maybe not required to keep playoff hopes alive, and we can probably assume that the game in Buffalo will be a loss.
I’d say win all four and second in Atlantic could be back within reach, but Tampa’s next three games are against the Canucks, Oilers, and Flames, so that probably isn’t true. What a crazy division this is.
I say fuck it, let’s win all four anyway and see what happens
The only silver lining from last night is that the playoff odds dropped by 2pts to a number I refuse to acknowledge exists.
why don’t the red wings simply win all of their remaining games? haven’t they thought of that?
