When to put him back? If he’s cleared today, he’s our number 1 center tomorrow night. If the docs say he can go, he goes!

Let’s take Rasmussens knee and give it Larkin

  3. Getting Copp back would be absolutely huge for this last push.

  4. Im no doctor, and have zero medical training, but in my professional opinion Rasmussen is super extra injured and shouldn’t play the rest of the season

I think Todd saying « considering » sending ASP to GR means they already decided to do it and we’ll see the announcement before the game tomorrow. You don’t want to keep a young guy like him sitting, especially when he can play somewhere else (AHL), and it will probably be good for him to get those minutes down there. Hate to see him get pushed out of the lineup, but Faulk was a big need, and ASP probably wasn’t 100% ready for a full NHL season. He was just the best option with how bad the defense crew was beyond the top pair…

Awesome that Copp’s injury wasn’t as bad as initially thought, but Larkin is the one we need back…

I can give Larkin my mcl or knees

Like Todd said we need him back for good, not just for a game. Hope he gets back but I like that they aren’t trying to rush him.

Feel free to take the rest of the year there, Ras.

They gotta be careful with Larkin. Hopefully we didn’t stunt ASP. MBN probably gonna stay. And is it just me…? Or does anyone else think that Shine is gonna be a fan favorite feel good story the rest of the year. He’s that 4th liner that could be a big boost. Like the grind line was.

We need scoring. Let asp play here. Jbd has been trash

  11. Disclaimer: I’m not a hockey player. I have a bad eye for defensive prowess and off-the-puck productivity.

My question is: has ASP *really* been that bad? 19 points in 63 games seems hella productive for a rookie defenseman. I know he’s a minus 21 but I’m often told that’s a flawed metric.

    Feels like Copp plays Saturday

I’d be somewhat surprised if Larkin is ready for next friday, I think best case is 4/2 vs Philly

Silver lining from all this injury mess is Finnie showing promise at center.

If Copp is our #1 center in this race, it’s over anyways 😆

My tinfoil hat theory is the coaches are saying Ras is injured to get around some behind the scenes cap constraint or call up constraint considering how many dudes we called up recently. And those guys are contributing more than he has lately. I feel for Ras, he has his highs and lows, but if he could just be a consistent 30-40 point getter while being a bit more physical, he’d be fine. He is good defensively, but that’s it.

Actually.. with how tall he is paired with his good defense, they should convert him to defense Brent Burns style.

Considering we have the 3 most important games of our season coming up AT HOME, if copps ok he’s gotta go

Great news, the sooner the better!

ASP has been kind of horribly mismanaged these last couple of weeks.

  18. Danengel32

Honestly just an incredible outcome for Copp and that’s huge for the team. Looked bad in the moment and then Todd said reevaluated in two weeks, only for him to start skating a few days later and come back early somehow

  19. onbiver9871

Biggly agree on ASP, plus it’s a nice little give back to a team stripped of its roster by the big club lol

  20. jfstompers

We should be past considering sending asp down, he needs to play send him down.

  21. Alecboyyes

Copp with super flexi knees. Expected him to be done for the year the way he went down.
