This post game interview is a PERFECT EXAMPLE of why he needs to be fired if we dont win a cup this year…. he says it looked like a hard working game from the boys…we looked lifeless pretty much the entire game.
This guy remains to be clueless and his constant line shuffling is just getting redundant the whole team looked lifeless to a team who has beaten us for the cup 2 years in a row and we made bobrovsky who had a .876% look like a vezina calibre goalie.
The fact he didnt understand a question from rishaug about our compete level shows hes lost all answers on pretty much everything about this team.
From the minutes 2:05–2:11 it takes him 5-6 seconds to answer if he liked how we compete and he uses an excuse to what happened and he says he doesnt think we were outplayed…. buddy were you watching the same game us fans were because we looked lifeless as soon as the first goal went in and going forward this team had no compete tonight…. him pretty much saying we looked deflated because we didnt put the puck in the net….. duh dude thats how you win games you put pucks in the net.
How can he say we broke the puck out well we had troubles most of the night getting the puck into the panthers zone and when we did it was chipping it we pretty much had no forecheck.
The panthers were without barkov, marchand and reinhart, we looked lifeless and we got shutout and we couldnt get anything going offensively and the real only big guy we were missing was draisaitl.

He doesnt have a clue if we dont win the cup which i highly doubt we will please fire this clown and send him back to minor hockey hes destroyed our team.

Florida's game plan is to apply constant pressure on the puck, play McDavid tight, and have a solid fast forecheck. Oilers defence just cannot cope with Florida's relentless pressure and speed. Oilers just look so disorganized when they are stuck in their zone for any amount of time.

After that 1st goal by Florida, Oilers were giving up and just played like a beer league team helping Panthers build their momentum in the game. Where was the scrum? Where were the responses?
I'm sorry, but the media needs to back off. Knobs sees the game as a REGULAR season game against an Eastern Conference opponent. It is not Game 8 or 9 or whatever the eff these reporters want to push as the storyline. The Panthers are coming off a 5-1 beating at the hands of the Kraken. They are losing more than winning. Of course they're gonna play like the proud team they are. However, our boys put some Grade As on the board. Didn't go in, should be gotten in the blue paint more blah blah blah. Panthers scored a few panther goals and one on the PP and one on a set faceoff play. Yes it sucks that we lost to this team with that score. But- we have a chance to get in the playoffs still. Their chances are slim and they are missing their top centre. Big picture looks better for us right now. Knobs is trying to get chemistry from these guys in the last 13 or so games with one of the top players in the world out of the lineup. Give the guy and the team a break. They did well tonight, just didn't go in for them.

This dude has no idea what is even happening, like yeah you have 2 finals on your shoulder. but damn wtf happened from Tuesday to Thursday. Knob has no emotion and no drive it seems like. saying clattenburg's 7-8 mins was eh is mindblowing. dude fought harder than most the team when he was on the ice. again idk what happened from our team 2 days ago, its like we got hit with a demoralize debuff

ironic because they didn't follow my Bob weaknesses i posted before the game , not one shot top corners . clearly no one is analyzing opposition team goalie and D weaknesses , and targeting these strategic areas for greater success without more effort , just better targeting of greater probability shot locations based on the given goalie your playing against that game .
And Paul , think you might start stringent tactical Defensive skills and drills before each game , because the D has put more efforts but tiring themselves out with old tactics that haven't been effective for past 3 years … without real progressive cohesion and rush disabling improvements .
That's why the D doesn't get fixed , and continues to be primary reason Goaltender can't have solid minimal zone collapse of incoming rush chances allowing Goaltender can ensure saves without panic allowing less goals against , and greater confidence building .
Didn't resolve D issues correctly , so every goalie suffered , but then you threw Jarry, Ingram behind that still unrepaired Defense nightly s'it show absolutely without any time to observe own zone potential concerns , so they could adapt over time .
Picks should never have been sent down , as Calvin already knew what to watch for till the D gets resolved correctly .Picks should have been starter , Ingram and Jarry as alternate backup so they could have some time to adapt to the new team they had to start tending goal for with more likelihood of adaptation and success including their own confidence

In Game 1 between the Oilers and Panthers, Mattias Ekholm had a goal and two assists, Evan Bouchard recorded three assists, and Stuart Skinner made 35 saves for Edmonton.
“I think it was massive, it takes a lot of guts by our team here because it was a really long road trip with a lot of travel, and a lot of really tough teams to play against,” Skinner said. “To come out and get a win … that’s really important. This win was huge for us.’’
Skinner made 10 saves in the third period and kept the Panthers from coming any closer than a goal.
“He played really good tonight, especially in the third when they had some big chances. You need some saves,” Knoblauch said. “We needed him, and he rose to the occasion.”
“It is always hard to play this team so it was good to fight one out and get home,” Roslovic said. “We wanted to play our game, have one last hard-working game on this road trip and find a 3-3-1 record and get home on a good note. There were a lot of great individual efforts.”

Forewords and Defense have to learn to get back to the D zone quicker. The offensive mindset of the defense needs to get reined in.
We have McDavid and Drai. At the least the Defense could have kept it to a 1 goal game, but instead you continually get the odd man rushes cause someone is way too deep in the offensive zone or make a bad pinch without anyone covering.
They continually just pass through the neutral zone without taking time to think about it looking for the Hail Mary pass or are just swarming the offensive zone without thinking. Like where is the responsibility.
