I think the Sabres will smoke the zombie lightning
My dad just died and my homie took me to the Leafs game, he has season tickets and he knew it would be a good distraction for me cuz I love the Sabres. Lo and behold, of course we're seated right next to a Leafs fan and his kid, the fan is about mine and my buddy's age mid-forties and his kid is probably late teens. For the first time in my life I got along with Leaf's fans. No lie. Further, these particular leaves fans expressed that they would like to see the sabers go to the finals since they're aware their leaves just aren't going to make it. So to say that it's new days in Southern Ontario and Western New York is an understatement. I still laugh at a story from the 99 playoffs of watching a small old American not the fuck out of a very large very young very drunk Canadian who was down here for the series that season. And I revel in it because he caught him so fucking good!! But to hear leaf's fans be respectful toward us? Holy cow. I was not expecting that. I did not let them chant go Leafs go because I'm the youngest of nine and I have a very loud voice, but things were amicable and even jovial between us at times
I just read an interesting thing about Hannibal. He was an incredible general, nearly undefeated, but he could only win battles he could not win a war. He was not a strategic thinker.
Adams was able to identify talent. Wow good for him, he's got at least a little bit of skill for scouting, great. That's not what a GM is.
I'm with Bulldog, as soon as the culture flipped that's when this thing took off. As soon as the rumors started to fly that Adam's time had come and pagola was going to do it, that's when the team on the ice started really playing. When accountability came back to Buffalo is when it all took off for real
