Has this always been the case? Last year during the finals, there was a panthers flag being flown along deerfoot and 16th Ave where the new lanes were being added.

If The Panthers hadn’t beaten the Oilers, we would have had to watch McDavid lift The Cup in an Oilers jersey for the rest of our lives at the start of Sportsnet broadcasts.
That cringefest at The White House was awful, but it is over and I don’t have to watch it every time I want to watch the Flames.
