Scheif is a gem. Guy just ages like fine wine. Hell goatee growth aside, he still has the same youthful look as did as an 18 year old. Even as he’s been overlooked and bypassed in favor of other players in the league, he keeps his head down and continues to work hard. Sure he still gets caught up ice at times when he loses the puck but you can’t deny that his 200-ft game has come a ways from where it was before Bones came in for those couple seasons and had him buy into those areas of the ice. I would argue that having Toews on the team with him has been a motivating factor in his performance as well. Bottom line, Scheifs is the reason the team still has the slightest pulse in their fading playoff hopes.

We’d be screwed without him.

« relentless dedication » to me means after all this s time he woulda learned a commitment to defensive play.
After seeing him for pretty much a decade now I see a really really good player who cheats for offense and doesn’t play in his own end, never hits a fly and is a bit of a whiner which is why he wasn’t on team Canada.

He’s a top tier center and the team is lucky to have him. He has his flaws for sure but he produces like no one else and carries the team on his back.

Say what you want about Schiefele but no one can deny he has been one of the most consistent high-scoring players in the league for quite some time now. Barring major injury, I don’t see him slowing down anytime soon. I wish the team could get him a cup.
