  1. J.T. Miller's lack of contribution has been under the radar because the Rangers fell off a cliff (where they were barely holding on by a thread as it were) when Igor and Adam were injured at the same time and everyone had an excuse for their downfall at that point in the season.
But now it can't be hidden anymore and Sullivan is stuck between a rock and a hard place on this one.
That being said, I watched every single game againt this year (I know, it's nothing to brag about) and many times Miller's hockey IQ seemed suspicious at best, and borderline self-destructive at worst.
Many times I was literally under the impression that he was making bad passes on purpose. Strange feeling to say the least. Or he is the only one to know what he's doing and his linemates don't get it. It's weird the way he plays. Bad passes, lazy dump ins, lazy icings, shots missing the net all the time, etc. 🙁
By the way, the one win they got since Miller came back was because Shesty stole it from the Wild. Period! They were totally under sieged from the middle of the second period onwards.
There is no way the Rangers are better with Miller in the lineup at this point.
Something is off here, big time.
But they named him captain, which is beginning to look like a huge problem because you don't want another drama to ruin their chances of getting back on track next year.

  2. I still wish for a tkachuk trade but would hate to include laf or gabe at this point. I wonder if a player like cuylle, and 2 1st could get it done. i would not mind seeing brady, troch n JT on a line…it would help boost JT's game for sure

  3. JT Miller is clearly not the same player when he's injured – and he's battled various injuries through the season.
Zero advantages to playing him now.
Suggest Injured Reserve for balance of season…get him back to full health… let more younger players into the line up for experience and evaluation.

  4. Miller brings nothing to the rink. Sit him out and let him heal & play the kids. What do we have to lose ? The season is toast. Let’s see what we have for the future.

  5. Look at our leadership team. Sullivan and Drury are clueless. Sullivan is a great coach when he has superstars on the roster to cover for his buffoonery. And Drury well he’s Drury.

  6. J.T Miller….cancer….to team…pay him to stay home….drury smartest man in the room…team in last place

  7. Healthy scratch JT the remainder of the season. L2 – Berard-Trocheck-Cuylle. L3 – Kartye-Thompson-Brisson. L4-Chmelar-Edstrom-Raddysh. Healthy: Miller, Parsinnen, Brodzinski, Sheary. Parsinnen/Brodzinski rotate in for Thompson, Brisson, or Chemlar or Berard. But the point is giving youth a real shot instead of the crap Sully has been doing this season – especially with Berard. On D, Morrow up paired with Robertson or a more mobile Morrow-Schneider. Urho injured and out, Mackey back down or healthy scratch. If insistence on Miller, slot in at 3C until Laba returns then put him on season "rest" as healthy scratch. Btw, the LW/RW changes are deliberate. This lineup based on AI feedback driven by data and performance with bias towards giving prospects a fair shot in a lost season. These are my armchair coach changes in my lowly opinion. Never will happen with a team that sucks developing youth and giving entitled captains a top 6 role when they are not performing. The data backs everything in this video up. JT is not fitting or performing well in this lineup. "Conditioning" and "tweaks" to his game are coaches lingo for he needs to find his game that works in this lineup. Folks, if Sullys statement was said about a younger, low salary player he would be in hartford and you all know it. JT has a full NMC or I would be shopping him or sending him to hartford. Buyout is unreasonable against cap. They can control captaincy and ice time only – and I would use that.
