DeBrincat around his clutch goal tonight has been getting a lot of touch assists. Kane has been actually the primary driver of the line and the team since Larkin's injury. Absurd team-leading 5v5 analytics and performance, and not just on-ice but individual (way ahead of Cat in 5v5 shots on goal, goals, corsi, ixG etc since Larkin went out). Significant separation from Cat in every analytic bc of time between changes where he'll stay on with other lines for a few seconds.
Kane is putting the team on his back and did so again tonight.
Since I see everyone in Red Wings fandom currently ignoring Kane as he completely carries the team, and giving Cat (first goal since Larkin went out, tonight) full credit for it…

This team is just a much different team than any of the others from the past few years. Adding Faulk and Perron just reinforced so well what we've already got here. Rookies maturing and getting stronger, second year players coming into their own, and the backstop we've got in Gibson. On top of all that, we've got Kaner, Compher, JVR, Debricat – this team is going to put fear in the opponents. It's great we grabbed this one – it will be important momentum to carry in the game against Boston. Another shot out to Debrincat: that wasn't luck getting that loose puck. That's what happens when a guy drives like that, play after play, day in and day out. LGRW!!! Great win!

I really think Faulk has been a huge part of the success the Red Wings since his arrival. Its not big and flashy, but the way he has settled down this defense with calm and steady play is huge.
Everyone has stepped up, but our blue line has looked so much better with Faulk out there. Great addition

I have a feeling the players are relieved it's not all Larkin in the locker room. I mean like from the coaches: "look for Larkin, pass to Larks, let Larks this n that"; you clearly see the players play more freely.
Don't get me wrong, not Larkins fault if it's like this, the coaches have favoured their golden child, when there is talent enough in the room.
