Yeah they really did a complete 180 on him since the trade
What a bunch of morons. He was about the only good thing about that team and they were tanking anyway.
He was gonna walk in a couple years and leave them with nothing, instead, they got a great haul in return for him that they can help try to rebuild.

That person that said it belongs in the wild sub? Like he’s literally wearing Canucks gear in those pics and was a former player. A player they loved as much as we love him here. I guess it’s still too soon for them.
I am a Canucks fan that started watching the Wild after the trade because Hughes was my favorite NHL player and I have been following most games since then. I agree that the amount of hate coming out of some of the Canucks fans is a bit crazy, but to be fair that sub is a pretty bitter place most of the time so it does kind of fit lol. And from my experience its a few very loud and angry people rather than the majority.
On the other hand I can also understand some of the feelings. For me it was more disappointment at certain things done outside of the ice that have definitely made me less enthusiastic about him and I don’t think that’s unreasonable in our current world and political climate. All that said, I try to do the same thing I do with actors and separate the person from the work and damn do I still enjoy seeing him play 😛
