I was surprised, last year I would have expected this.
Realistically, because they won in Colorado, AND NYI won, this was a game they could afford to lose… But gawdam, that defensive play was truly horrendous.
Also, Geno? We need him to be fire again.
Also the lack of Lizotte is probably what makes or breaks them. J1Q is it time to bring back Mcgroarty and slot him into the PK?
He's genuinely primed to be a two-way star, and I just have a feeling they could use him and Elmer as a tandem. One game more physical, another more skilled?

the canes will do their usual flameout in the playoffs , yet they beat the pens in the regular season handily ! pens best chance to make the playoffs is to bring up musharov , pens cant afford to play skinner when the games are so critical !

Same old slop. Are we still calling stupid turnovers “takeaways”? The Avs had a game like that against the Pens, but they aren’t fighting for a playoff spot. This performance was the inexplicable “D league pickup game” I’ve been harping for the last few seasons. A total breakdown like someone spiked the cooler.
