Looks like Barry learned his lesson after letting Vange drag out for no reason.
Lol. Im fine with this, but cant help but compare Evangelista very deservedly getting 500k more literally eating into the season, then with Svechkov hes like « fuck it heres 2.5 »

I like the kid as a human, I’m not convinced on him as a player. C depth is hard to get, and he is serviceable. Some of his advanced stats really demonstrate that he is a fill in guy (deployed 53% in o zone but has a 43% win rate on faceoffs… woof. Shooting 5%). I want more out of a former 1st round pick.
I’m shocked we are still winning games with our bottom 6 being less than ideal. His line mates don’t scream depth scoring. If Stamkos wasn’t averaging 1.2ppg recently, the bottom 6 hurts us even more.
2 year contract gets him to his prime at age 24. We can extend if he shows up, or maybe we get a decent trade for him. I’m not mad about this contract.
he’s looked pretty good and more confident carrying the puck and making plays since coming back up, but man would really like to see him start getting on the scoresheet some more.
