  1. Jordan Spence has earned a long term deal. He's been crushing his minutes on the 3rd pair this season, but the way he's stepped up his play with all these injuries, I don't care that he's a bit small this guy has heart and he does a little bit of everything out there. Give him the contract now before the price rises too high

  2. Really enjoyed the growth of this team since rebuild, they found a pretty good mix of youth and vets.

Having so many injuries is tough but gives the young talent a chance to show the potential they may have.

  3. Foegs has 5 goals in 9 games as a senator and had 7 in 47 or so games with the kings love the addition to the squad

  4. Who will play defense against Detroit? I'm thinking Bolduc, Donovan or Yakemchuk.. Five defensemen injured, unreal. It's like they are playing their best hockey but no, that can't last, other teams need to make the playoff not Ottawa. So here is a spate of crippling injuries

  5. FoGOAL and Spence are just 2 more incredible Billy Beane style moves by Staios and deserve extensions – they both are proving they are part of our long term future. This entire team is playing elite defensive hockey. It’s amazing to watch. Green and the rest of the coaching staff deserve a ton of credit and the players for buying in. Incredible play by everyone on the ice. Green should be in the conversation for Jack Adams the way this team is playing.

  6. That was one of the least allowed shots since 2003, after losing Chabby and Lassi.

Gutsy win. Gutsy performance, Gutsy grit from the D boys.

    Keep going!

  7. Looking ahead to this game against Detroit on the schedule it was seen as a possible opportunity to leap over them in the standings. Hard to imagine they have to go into this game without Sanderson and Chabot. If they pull this one off it's going to be a real statement. If you look at the standings…they need this win, a regulation loss would be devastating to the playoff chase. GSG. Spence, Matinpalo, Kleven and Zub have to carry the load. Whoever is called up will see limited minutes.
