Can’t play 20 minutes of hockey even against one of the worst teams in the league and expect to win.
This team’s downfall will be playing to the level of their competition. An inexcusable loss tonight.
At the end of the day, we only lost by 1 despite playing for only 30 minutes

It’s getting frustrating watching them look like a deep playoff contender team for 1 period a game after looking completely flaccid early and falling into 3-0 holes.
The 3rd was great, again.
10 (very) bad minutes in an otherwise pretty good game and they lose to a bottom feeder. The awful wave off of the icing became a huge factor on the GWG (although the islanders should’ve played that better too)
It’s frustrating that we just sleepwalk through so many games. I’ve felt I’ve been saying that for years the only thing that has changed is that we’re capable of digging ourselves out now but fuck can just just start strong and stay consistent. Cant expect to bail ourselves out from behind every night

So embarrassing. Should’ve ever been in this spot. Not fair that Sorokin isn’t able to take a game off. Also not fair to Schaefer that he has to try to play hero since only three other players on this team can score. I have officially lost all hope in this team.

Honestly at this point I’d like to see Eiserman, Eklund, and Aitcheson get some minutes to finish out the season I see no reason not to give them a shot consisting all of the injuries and the handful of players that are doing nothing except for talking up space on the bench.
I know it’s doomer season, but the first 10 minutes and the last 20 were some great hockey. The guys proved they *can* play with high intensity. Now they just need to do it for an entire game.

Isles came out in control and then let Chicago score 3 goals while they dicked around. If this is how you play down the stretch at home you don’t deserve a playoff spot.
