Powerplay and goaltending are both an abomination.

It’s my fault, I started watching games again.

Not just the last 2 games

They picked a bad time to forget how to play. All other teams in the chase are heating up and keeping their level of play. A bad stretch of a few games can doom this team.

Against the two best teams in the league…

Espn +/hulu hasn’t today’s game for some reason. But maybe it’s best I skip it anyways

I had a horrible feeling, and I kept selling myself I was crazy, that we would actually suck upon Sids return. We would lose more than we won, the blue jackets and Islanders would win more than lose, and we would be out of the playoffs. Hopefully my pessimistic views in crazy thoughts are wrong.
We just played two of the better teams in the league so obviously there hasn’t been enough to go on

This isn’t just a two-game thing. 44 goals allowed in the last 10 games. Defense and goaltending are both failing. I don’t see how they make the playoffs if both of those areas don’t turn around immediately.

Im scared to go to the game in Ottawa on Thursday 😬

It’s because we’re missing Lizotte. He was also out during that skid before Christmas where we gave up those huge leads in the 3rd. Then he came back and we went on a tear.
Even tho he’s a 4th liner, he’s such a glue guy. His energy on every shift sparks the entire team

Nah. They just had their asses handed to them by the best team in each conference. It’s sports, it happens. They did the same thing to Colorado a week ago. This has been a really fun, enjoyable and encouraging season. In spite of these vibe killing losses, I think they are going to get in and then anything can happen. The future is also very bright. This season is more of a beginning than a farewell.

We lost to the best team in the league and the eastern conference…we’re fine

They’re gonna be fine, but trading Kulak and Blake being hurt have been pretty detrimental overall to the playoff push.
