Skinner and Silovs have been straight up garbage the last week. Skinner is not a bona fide starter.
I don’t even need to watch as I know what this one will be about. “Silovs: I just don’t see it. He’s terrible blah blah.” He’s 25 give him a break. He’s improved this year. I wish you were this quick to point out Mike Sullivan’s flaws.
Maybe it’s time to play 2000 New Jersey devils type game. Clog it all up and wait for them to make a mistake

Hey DK, I hate to be Debbie downer………but after surprising us all with this season I feel we are heading for disappointment and into another playoff-less spring. Besides the goal tending being suspect, the defensive core has lost their step and making big mistakes, than there's key players in and out…..LIZOTTE!!! (I guess Malkin too). Lately that swarm mentality is missing and moving as a unit has turned more individual. Once the garbage goals stop going in there is a lack of finish, how many assists should Sid have had last night? I give Rust a pass but despite his goal, Rakell is hard to watch. I don't like complaining about the refs or blaming the team's bad play because of them, but seriously WTF! Why are they screwing the Penguins on the goalie interference calls for and against?
Next up is Ottawa, so that will be physical, then Dallas……..and so on, goalies need to be better, defense too, and they need to go back to outskating and outworking teams….TOGETHER! If there's any gas left. They were not suppose to contend, but if they don't make the playoffs is this season a success still? Did Dubas do enough at the trade deadline?
What this team needs to do is to get their collective heads out of their asses.
Good morning DK, I completely understand the team concept and how when a team has a tight group what that does, I've played higher level of a few sports. But, we had a chance to flip Skinner and Mantha at the deadline, but didn't which still really bothers me. We could have got a 1st plus maybe a 3rd or even a 2nd if Dubas pulls another rabbit out of his hat. With Skinner, possibly a 1st or perhaps a couple 2nds & a mid-high prospect. With those extra picks if Dubas will start talks again with the Blue for Thomas, they'll be needed so we don't dump our future. Maybe Dubas could have went for Whitecloud to help this team dosn the stretch and into the playoffs. A bit of a shake up to improve an area, or to gain something substantial, is not bad! Look at Colorado last year at the deadline…..they shook up 5-6 positions on their team!! Matt Murray, Flower, Roy, Brodeur…….how many great goalies have come up and had incredible success when they were 19-22 years old?? It's Murashov's time. BUT he'll need, and our team, a strong defensive defenseman to help balance out our attacking guys, Karlsson, Girard, and Letang thinking he's 10 years younger unfortunately. A Whitecloud Shea, Wotherspoon, plus possibly Ilya in our lineup as our defensive defenseman with the Karlsson, Girard, and (cough, cough) Letang as our offensive defenseman would be an ideal balance I believe. Whether we make the playoffs or not, get through a round or not, this should be an interesting draft and summer. God, I hope with a couple elite players available, that could make us Cup contenders immediately and to guide our team post Sid & co, that Dubas doesn't drop the ball. Blessings always, Victor 🙏

Special Teams, poor officiating and pathetic goaltending sums that game up. Seems the OT/SO losses are coming back to haunt them. Saw this coming…

You’re being a little bit emotional with goaltending situation DK. Now listen, have the goalies been bad the past few games? Yes, but bringing up Murashov isn’t going to help much. It won’t help Murashov and his development and yes he still needs to improve. Second it won’t help the team as much as you think. In his first stint he started off pretty good and then cooled off and let in some leaky goals especially vs Utah. I’m not denying that the goaltending needs to be way better but I’m not willing to risk our future franchise goalie’s development just because our goaltending has not been great for the past week. I also trust Coach Muse to get this team back on track. Anyways I love your show and all that you do DK. Keep up the good work.
I've been screaming to stay with Murashov since his last stint in Pittsburgh. He needs a good run, and some NHL adversity to genuinely develop, and he's earned it.

This wasnt the sentiment you were expressing right before the break. You said "they dont give up alot and you can expect that" and then they got kicked in the teeth. Everybody and you included were enamored when Skinner came here and went on a hot streak, meanwhile I was preaching to get rid of these guys while they were still worth something. Now we have two of the most unreliable goaltenders in the league and they will be our inevitable downfall this season.

Since witnessing his shutout in Stockholm, I've been a big Murashov fan, and it seems like he's only gotten better and more consistent since then. How much has he improved in his play in the AHL?

What's our record without Lizotte? He's my vote for team MVP at this point. Silovs was never a starting goalie. He's streaky. Stu has played well, but can be streaky,, just not as bad. Neither of them are a big improvement over Jarry. Muse's system is just a better fit for all 3 of them then Edmonton or Sullivan. Its time to bring up the kid, I just wondering if bringing him up in the thick of things is the best move. It should have been after the Olympic break. I will say, Skinner made it to the cup finals 2x with Edmonton, one of the worse defensive teams in the league. There's something to that, he should be the playoff goalie, if we keep these 2.
The whole team is flat not just the goalies, The defense is horrible so
