  1. There aren't very many players who can be stars playing with bottom 6 forwards. With that being said, O'Connor is having a career year playing with EP40. If that doesn't tell you something, I don't know what does.

  2. EP should stay! He’s playing very well — not EP from his peak, but he’s solid defensively, is a playmaker, and is liked by his teammates.

  3. Petterson even in a year where it doesnt matter he is still blocking pucks, he still has the ability to score and to defend. He needs the proper coach and the management has to go that forced his hand and has tainted him. Also still hate they kept Miller over Horvat, thats when the culture broke down that was created back during the sedin era.

  4. I believe it's not a true rebuild unless the core of the team is what's changed, and that process is not over yet. Even if EP40 is still able to go back to being a star player, it probably has to be somewhere else. Even if it is all management's fault, and not his, if they keep him, there will be the sense that this is no true rebuild and management is just waiting until the year his contract expires, and fed up fans are not going to stand for that. Management's culture has had them making a series of terrible mistakes, and never fessing up to the consequences. The albatross contract the team hung on EP40's neck was just one of those mistakes, but it is still haunting the player's career and angering the fans.

  5. I see Peterson as a good shutdown second line center. To much was expected, and if he steps back, you have a strong core down the middle. He's a quite guy. Just let him play and it will be fine. In a few more years, with inflation, he'll be a bargain…

  6. Totally agree with Frank. There’s no reason Petterson can’t be a part of the rebuild team, but he has to want it.
