  1. One of Detroit's prospects needs to be a "star". Like so many teams draft high end talent. Kasper is not it. Mbn, Bear, asp, someone NEEDS to become that star.

  2. 53:03 ASP -> Grab the puck on the board, skate high to the middle, shoot wide. Yes, he needs to recapture his offense. You could set your clock by his consistency by the end of his run.

  3. 1:02:12 I still haven't seen the Malkin event, but don't forget McSorley-Brashear. That was exactly what you described, and it did have off the ice ramifications.

  4. They're cooked and it's been obviously coming all season. They were staying afloat in the playoff chase because they had played two games more than everyone else until now.

The worst part is that missing for a tenth season and Buffalo making the playoffs (by a mile) makes Detroit hands down the worst free agent destination in the league. Other bad teams have an excuse to be bad and Detroit does not. The only thing that can help this team is a huge free agent signing (or two), but no one will want to call Detroit home. There's no one in the system currently that is going to score you 100 points. So the Wings will languish just outside the playoffs for another 10 ten years.

  5. So we have same team for next season . What that tell you . So where are we heading? So who the next superstar to be drafted at 15 th pick .this is why we throw the season for another busted draft pick that isn't going to make us any better.

  6. Dominik Shine is playing with heart. The very same reason we missed larkin, so much the guy plays with heart. I really hope that shiner is a regular part of the red wings next year

  7. I don’t understand going along with the JBD extension and then saying SY can’t continue to roll back the same lower end of the lineup. JBD is soft, timid and very hesitant to make decisions, and not what we need even as a 6/7…

  8. I'd love a response to this comment from WW honestly.

When do we start placing blame on the Toddfather.
I think he has massively been better than Lalonde (aka Gru from despicable me) but here are my gripes
    – He's arguably one of the worst coaches this season when it comes to pulling the goalie where he keeps pulling him around the 1:30 minute mark when we have had ample chances to pull around 3-4 min mark
    – We get a couple really good games with a line up change (before larkin injury and during) and then immediately we change those lines, why are we NOT keeping the working lines together???
    – Will not call a time out near the end of the game in extremely detrimental times. No reason a timeout wasn't called when Florida scored the tying goal, there's been other times too)
    – Plays Gibby NINE GAMES STRAIGHT, idc who you are no goalie is playing at their best that many games straight and i will die on the hill that Talbot shoulda got the Calgary game. Gibby mighta kept BOS&OTT to 2 had he had that extra rest
    – Last but simply not the least we finally get a decent bottom 6 player in Shine, someone who looks to care and in 5 games has only been on the ice for 1 goal against, is playing gritty with a ton of heart, checks well, and even kickstarted the offense in that OTT game with a new dad buff but is averaging 5 mins a game? he played about a min in 25 mins (21 after 2 PP's) after he scored a goal that came from a play that HE caused almost entirely. What more does he have to do to play more? I think he's been so good for the wings lately but Todd just won't play him

The team has caused bad losses, it's a team game ofc, we have been goalied a few too many times in 2 straight weeks, and we have had jersey's, but the coach's mistakes have to be looked at too

  9. It is sad to say after a little over a year, but Todd isnt a good coach. Better than Lalonde, but he cant get a consistent effort and the offense has gone to shit this season

  10. The WORST thing that could happen to this franchise, would be to squeak into the playoffs. Done in 5 & the problems save their jobs.

  11. You would think this playoff race for Wings fans would at least be fun to watch, but it's not. Going down 3-0 in a "must win" is definitely a choice.

  12. Wings remind me of a union based team instead of a team that plays with heart and intensity. This comes from the top guys in "the room". I thought JP was supposed to change that?
I like Larkin but he doesn't seem to be a leader? Don't get me wrong, he is a great player, just not a leader. Thats just my opinion at a low time for a team. They need a turnaround but I just don't see it.

  13. I trust the wings more with 1 game to go then I do with 11 lmao. In 11 they could drop 12 points. With one game they could pull off a miracle and get in lmao
