  1. I think as far as the Detroit Red Wings go the team has put themselves in the spot not the general manager and not the coaches, and I would dare to say that the goalie has not put them in this spot either more of the play in front of the goalie. It’s tough to believe they have to have 11 wins in a row to not have a guarantee to make to the postseason. Of the games that I could watch especially last night Boston and Buffalo Boston put themselves in a spot to win and they did. Detroit’s game against Boston looks like a playoff game Detroit game against Ottawa did not look like a playoff game. If they were truly seeking their destiny they would be winning.

  2. They don't have any excuse to dropping off AGAIN this March aside from themselves. The Wings set expectations high with missing on a tie-breaker a couple of years ago, and by having more GP and a high points position at times this year. Their depth scoring his horrendous, and they still have young guys (Kasper, Edvinsson) making key mistakes in big moments. They should continue to get better, and bring in more young talent, and hopefully they can click and actually pass the eye test eventually. Going to take more time….

Very excited for Plante, whenever he goes pro. Ready for the roster turnover this offseason, hopefully the Cardio Jerseys get moved and they can get some actual depth scoring and checking.

  3. It's hard to watch Larkin and Raymond in the same way as Mathews and Nylander. The American style doesn't mesh well with European play. This team has no identity. Caught in between European style and USA play. 🏒

  4. If the Wings miss the playoffs do they go back into a mini rebuild and move their top veterans for draft picks and then play next year to be the worst team? Should they clean house of vets and bring up the young players they don’t want to trade??? It’s obvious they do not have a number one center..

  5. I said this before the trade deadline but I will never forget the boneheads in our fanbase who forced SY to make a trade just to make a trade. We gave up a top 15 pick and Buchnelikov for a year and a half of a decent 33 year old defenseman for absolutely no reason. The Yzerplan has been a disastrous failure and this trade is the cherry on top.

  6. It;s going to take 100 points to get in the playoffs. Detroit needs to win 8 of their last 11 games to get 100 points. Is it possible???Yes. Will they??? NO. In spite of all the loyal DRW fans believing in the team… They (DRW) ain't good nuf. Larkin is our best player and on a good contending team he would be the second or third line center. Like the USA olympic team. But that is just US players. If one was to include the talented NHL centers from the other countries, he would certainly be in the bottom six. No DRW player was voted to last years All Star game. DeBrinkat made it on as a coach's selection. The Detroit players are NOT talented enough. And they don't make up for that lack by being tough and aggressive. Get rid of the over-priced and under-producing veterans and bring up the Grand Rapids "kids. I'd rather lose with the "kids" and let them grow in to a winning NHL team like they're doing in the AHL.
